Katherine Richardson currently works as a consultant with a political consulting firm in DC. She has assisted with several projects that helps their clients develop and shape their state strategy for their partnerships plans. Also during her time with the consulting firm, Katherine traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to manage organizing/field operations for Amy McGrath's U.S. Senate race in 2020. She also traveled to Columbus, Georgia to direct and lead canvassing operations for Warnock and Ossoff runoff races for the U.S. Senate in 2021. Her work in Georgia was sentimental because she lived in Georgia for 17 years. Talking to canvassers daily about the importance of their grassroots work and getting them enthused to talk to voters about the upcoming runoff election was paramount during her time in Georgia. Katherine has worked with political action committees off and on from 2016 - 2020 with Obama Alumni operatives, who built grassroot infrastructures in six battleground states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Florida, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. Katherine enjoys the organizational aspects of campaigns and has also worked in El Paso, Texas with Beto O'Rourke's Presidential campaign in 2019.
Before moving to Washington, DC in 2016, Katherine earned her Masters in the Study of Law (2016) and Bachelors in Political Science (2013) from The University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Not only does Katherine bring wealth of political and public policy knowledge to our team, she also holds two very important honors. She is a former Louis B. Sohn Professional Development Fellow (UGA) and former voting member of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee in Virginia. When she’s not working or advocating for a cause, Katherine can be seen running errands around the DMV and cheering on the Dawgs from home in the District.
